Baillie Gifford “Invest In Progress” 

We brought the doodles to life for advertising agency Libertine London’s campaign for Baillie Gifford.

The Future Perfect Project

American National arts initiative The Future Perfect Project released its new short film series How Life Is: Queer Youth Animated in celebration of Pride Month 2021. Each video in this multimedia project highlights challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth, including coming out, relationships, peer acceptance and homophobia. We were delighted to be paired with one of the subjects to create this unique contribution to the series.

Pinkster Gin 

We provided the hand drawn elements of this zippy spot for Pinkster Gin. The concept and direction was from John Dean Creative Consultancy.

Chalmers Gender Identity Clinic

We’re very proud to have entirely animated this film for Hee Haw which outlines the journey of a service user for NHS Lothian’s Gender Identity Services. Completed in 2019, this project is hosted on the NHS’s site and was well received due to its sensitivity of the subject matter.
The project won bronze in the Diversity and Inclusion category for the EVCOM Clarion London Awards.

Sounds Like Scotland 

We animated this celebration of Scotland’s sound archives for UNESCO World Audiovisual Day 2017. Created as part of the Connecting Scotland’s Sounds, an initiative championing Scotland’s rich audio heritage. This 2016- 2017 project was hosted at the National Library of Scotland and supported by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.

Edinburgh International Film Festival 70th Birthday Guest Book

We’ve worked with some of the biggest names in show business here at Animation Garden. To celebrate the 70th Birthday of the world’s longest continually running film festival, we were invited to bring some of the famous names in EIFF’s guest book to life.

NHS ‘Let’s Talk About Abortion’ for Mucklehen Productions

We created a unique illustrative style for this campaign managed by Mucklehen Productions under Hannah Robinson’s direction, and breathed life into the characters in order to create an animation that was sympathetic to the sensitivities of the NHS brief.

‘Graham’s Dairy Ice Cream’ for The Gate Films

The Graham’s family wanted a nostalgic aesthetic for the launch of their ice-cream range, and The Gate Films came to us for our unique ability to create visual solutions. Directed by Matt Winn a live action reference was shot on location and then ‘retroscoped’ at the Animation Garden by hand in the style of 1950s tourism advertising.

‘Shropshire’s Great Journey’ for the Music Hall Museum & Art Gallery Shrewsbury

Working with commissioning artist Ilana Halperin, we delved into 600MY of Geological history to create this hand crafted film for installation at the Music Hall in Shrewsbury to compliment the geological displays. Shropshire is one of the UK’s most diverse regions for geological periods of time as celebrated in this film. Directed by our own Iain Gardner.
